Since arriving in Australia over 15 years ago, Andrew has been designing, making and supplying bespoke furniture to leading retailers, architects and private clients operating from his St. Peters studio in Sydney’s Inner West. Andrew’s influences span from English period furniture to the Danish Modernists, sculpture, art and nature. He is always inspired by the talented furniture makers featured in the Australian Wood Review and Fine Wood Working magazines.

For the last two years, Andrew has been teaching once a week in the Architecture Faculty at the University of Sydney. He also offers wood working classes at his St Peters workshop catering for either individual tuition or classes of up to four people.

Andrew’s goal when designing and making furniture is to create functional, beautiful and simple pieces that will be enjoyed for generations. Using both traditional and contemporary methods of construction and timber purchased from certified timber yards, or if appropriate, Andrew will source recycled timber incorporating an array of species from Australia, America and Europe.

Andrew feels privileged to have chosen furniture making as a career, which enables him to work with stunning timbers. After twenty five years in the trade, Andrew keeps learning and feels that his craft just gets better.
